Staying in contact
Why a website?
Staying in contact with people is difficult enough as it is, but when they're attempting to start a life, it's even more tough to stay in contact with the friends you care about. Typically the difficulty lies in what to do online rather than talking, because that's easy with availability with texting now.
Creating a website has allowed me to connect with one of the friends who has helped teach me so much in life so far, helped me learn just a little bit more. Having fleeting moments seems inevitable. Especially when your friends all around you are starting their lives, but to have a momento with someone who helped create it, as if it's scrapbook. Those fleeting moments seem to last forever with another thing that would help us remind ourselves of who we are and where we came from keeping us humble, human.
To finally answer on why a website with the background, a memento to know where I came from, where I started, and who I was.
